Having an amazing website is crucial to starting a new business. Since the inception of my new product line everyone has asked me one simple question: “What is your story?” Your website is your PLATFORM! It is a place for you to answer questions about your business. Who are you, what do you look like, where are you from, what inspired your product, where can you buy it, how much is it, and what is your INTENTION?

I chose liveBooks for several reasons. I was able to create the website quickly and it was very cost effective for a starting a new business. I have a lot of creative control as well as control over managing the content efficiently. Communicating my intention was easy and there is potential to grow the website quickly. I love being able to integrate the site with social media (facebook, twitter, etc….) AND… liveBooks has an awesome support team!!!

What a great message!

Your website is your most important tool. It is your online portfolio gallery, which is as important as a gallery show, so it should be perfect. In my opinion, source books are a thing of the past and people are going straight to the internet to find their talent… so it better look professional.

As an artist representative, I know you only have one chance to make a first impression. If your website is cluttered or hard to navigate, potential clients move on immediately. I recommend liveBooks to all my fellow creatives. Their sites are clean, simple and look incredibly professional, not to mention they are easy to maintain yourself. I have two liveBooks sites – one for my own personal photography and one for my brand new business.

Three years ago I decided that as a young photographer, having a professional looking site was vital to my future success in this industry. Especially if I wanted to be taken seriously and to stand out from the crowd. After a week of browsing the photographers who inspire me most, it was no question that liveBooks had exactly what I needed for my website. The clean and simple layout was exactly what I was looking for and it fit my high school senior budget well. The add-ons were extremely simple to have done. The customer service turn around time was extremely quick. Within no time I had the exact site I needed to show my portfolio.

Over time, my portfolio and shooting abilities grew. As well as my business and career. Shooting documentary, portrait, sport and advertising, on top of personal work, my site showcased a large range of what I had shot. Pretty soon my portfolio site was too content heavy, making it somewhat intimidating or confusing to my potential portrait clients. I wanted them to have a simple experience on my site while not having to go through multiple sets of images that were not relevant to their interests, just to find my portrait work.

With that in mind I decided it was time to create a second liveBooks site for just my portrait work. The new site was designed just for my portrait clients and contains nothing but different samples of my portrait work. Having a site dedicated just for portraiture, gave me a large amount of options I hadn’t had with the single website. It gave me the opportunity to show a lot more of my portrait work and categorize it into simple genres. While the included video page allows me to share behind the scenes videos to show my clients why my shoots are all about. This in return, made it easier for my new clients to see my portrait work as well as creates a more fun and informative interaction. It also freed up my old site to contain just my portfolio of my strongest work, without mixing my portrait business into things. Having a second site dedicated to just my portrait business has made been beneficial from the first day it went live and my only regret is not doing it sooner.

At the age of 19 (20 in a week!) having a professional site has been vital to my success. I am happy that liveBooks has been there for me. I would strongly suggest liveBooks to any and all young photographers, aspiring photographers or professional photographers alike who want to have the best website on the net to display their work.

Initially, my primary reason for considering a liveBooks website was for the ease of use of their editSuite. Then the preDesigned sites came along and I was definitely sold. I was able to add my custom logo to my preDesigned site. It worked perfectly with my new identity and the look and feel I wanted for my photography. I am thrilled with the results and have received a lot of positive feedback. Just recently, with the help of my new web site, I was offered a contract with a creative stock photography agency.

I looked through a generous amount of website hosting services and the templates they offer and honestly, I was getting depressed! Everything was so commercial and undesirable. I wanted something clean and simple. My boyfriend is an amazing photographer that utilizes liveBooks and suggested that I take a look at their offering. Mind you, I’m not a photographer – I have a line of dog collars! As soon as I looked through the templates that liveBooks had to offer, I was sold. So crisp, clean and bold!  Exactly what I was looking for! The awesome team at liveBooks was able to change a few things on the template I chose so that it would better meet my needs. The editSuite that allows you to manage your website is such a breeze to use. I am very happy with the results and the staff at liveBooks has been such a pleasure to work with!

In my 15 years as an On-Air television personality, I was on TV every single day and therefore never had to brand and market myself. However, now, more than ever, the web is where everyone is going to watch video content and to learn about companies.
As a newbie in the world of entrepreneurism and the web, I had no idea how to design and build a website. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed at first, until a photographer friend recommended liveBooks. Since our website is driven by video content, liveBooks is a perfect fit.
liveBooks websites are so user friendly and the staff is always eager to help. Trust me, I was on a first name basis the the technical staff at liveBooks:) I literally built the entire website all by myself. It was such a great challenge and by the time I finished, I felt a huge sense of accomplishment.
If it weren’t for liveBooks and their great team, I would not be in business.

I chose to build my portfolio website with liveBooks due to their reputation in the photo industry, the intuitive and easy to use liveBooks editSuite, and because I never felt pressured into anything I wasn’t sure I needed. Since I first began using the liveBooks service, both my website and the staff at liveBooks make me feel like they’re looking out for my best interests and working for me, not the other way around.

My website has helped my business because it shows my photography in the best way possible: big, clean, easy to navigate, and accessible on any mobile device. I believe there’s a sense of professionalism that comes across as viewers interact with my liveBooks site, which I didn’t feel trying out similar portfolio building services.

In my opinion the most important features of a website are the ease of use, the size at which my images are displayed, how user friendly the editing software is to use, and the willingness of the staff to answer any question I may have. I never got the feeling I would be abandoned by customer service once my payment went through, and to this day I never have been.

As a commercial photographer specializing in architecture, interiors, and hospitality, I needed an online presence that was clean, professional, and elegant which would resonate with my target audience. The clients in my market expect professionalism at its highest order and liveBooks gives me a very clean professional site with minimal fuss for the user. The focus is all on the images which is what most clients are looking for. The additional ability to view my site on the iPhone and iPad is extremely important as many Creative Directors, ADs, and producers wind up viewing my site in meetings, on sets, or in places where viewing a site on a traditional laptop or desktop just isn’t possible. liveBooks has helped me by providing a first class online portfolio and allowed me to focus on creating images, not maintaining a website.
