361 Architecture + Design Collaborative

Posted by liveBooks

Architects, like photographers, rely primarily on first impressions.  We did quite a bit of background research seeking a web developer/platform that could provide a clean visual interface for our site and simultaneously afford us the freedom to make changes quickly.  On the surface, it is difficult to discern the quality of web developers.  At 361, we value collaboration and were looking for a partner with which to co-create our site . After speaking with the liveBooks team, we were thoroughly impressed and made the decision to move forward.  From that point on, all the people that we worked with at liveBooks were articulate, responsive and timely, a far cry from what we had previously experienced in the industry.

By using liveBooks, we’ve eliminated the hassle of having to rely on someone else to modify our site.  Changes are simple, efficient and real time. In addition, they assisted in integrating our blog seamlessly into our site. Van Gogh said, “How difficult it is to be simple.”  liveBooks has met the challenge well.  Go for it!

Phil Borges: Women Empowered

Be surprised when you visit this site! It’s a liveBooks site for sure, but the main “portfolios” here are not still images. Instead, poignant videos are used to create a strong emotional connection between the viewers and the subjects who need your support. Once the connection is made, the “Get Involved” page suggests different ways that you can contribute to the cause, making it easy for anyone to take immediate action. Also note how it integrates the use of social media in the “share” page.

Jules Bianchi

liveBooks support is great! Last time I used the live chat support, not only did I get an immediate response, but she had my issues resolved by morning.

The minute you click into Jules’ colorful website, you’ll discover a fun-loving photographer who not only enjoys what she does, but also makes others who are involved feel her joy. Jules also uses videos to make a personal connection with her prospective clients. From the videos on the front page, visitors can see Jules’ personality and, as important, what to expect during a shoot. Jules’ website is also a great example of how many elements come together to create a brand impression. The consistent color scheme, font style, cute little icons, language, and even the style of the videos all contribute to defining Jules’ unique brand.

Richard Edelman is a sculptor who works in steel. “I sell steel, I’m around steel, I’ve spent my life around industry, steel mills and when the time came for me to be creative, I naturally migrated to working with steel and sculptures.” He has an impressive body of work represented on his new website, as well as interesting videos on his home and bio pages.
