We have fully embraced multimedia and social media and our liveBooks site does a wonderful job of allowing us to incorporate it all into one neat package. liveBooks puts a lot of work into delivering a strong design with ease of use, and I’m thankful they’ve made it so easy on photographers like myself.
Emilie_Inc_photography_website
Website: www.emilieinc.com
Emilie’s site design is a perfect match to her photojournalistic style of photography. It’s feminine yet not flowery; it’s modern but romantic; it’s down-to-earth with a touch of sweetness. Her website is incredibly rich in content. However, the smart use of intuitive navigation makes it super easy to access all the information.

My website is the primary way I showcase my photography work online. It is also the portal to my press and blog. Working with liveBooks to create a custom designed site has been amazing. They consistently exceeded my expectations with solutions to the ideas I presented to them. I couldn’t be happier!

Janice Moses Represents

Posted by liveBooks

I am thankful for my relationship with liveBooks – and it grows because of the opportunities and exchanges we have. They gave us the tools and the technology, coaching and support to reinvent the way we do business. The ability to integrate Vimeo changes everything. I am very happy to invest in all the work done by the liveBooks team. Some people go to school to learn, I went to liveBooks.

liveBooks, specifically the Scaler functionality, has allowed me to branch out creatively. I feel like I’m not living in a tiny box online. The creative possibilities are endless with the amazing crew that works tirelessly behind the scenes designing sites. In creating this new look, new size, new site – everything I imagined was possible. Everything was handled promptly and professionally. liveBooks is definitely a good crew to have in your corner. Thanks guys.

Davies and Starr

Posted by liveBooks

We have had our liveBooks website for several years and it gets us as much new business today as it did when we launched. I hate it when we have to send out an analog portfolio, all those big prints, fedexing and messengers, they put stickers on our beautiful expensive leather books, and they sometimes even steal your prints… liveBooks is the only way to showcase your work.

Davies and Starr are certainly some of the most creative people we know (and fun too:) This is a wonderful example of a website that has integrated still and video. Make sure you take a look at their innovative motion work.

361 Architecture + Design Collaborative

Posted by liveBooks

Architects, like photographers, rely primarily on first impressions.  We did quite a bit of background research seeking a web developer/platform that could provide a clean visual interface for our site and simultaneously afford us the freedom to make changes quickly.  On the surface, it is difficult to discern the quality of web developers.  At 361, we value collaboration and were looking for a partner with which to co-create our site . After speaking with the liveBooks team, we were thoroughly impressed and made the decision to move forward.  From that point on, all the people that we worked with at liveBooks were articulate, responsive and timely, a far cry from what we had previously experienced in the industry.

By using liveBooks, we’ve eliminated the hassle of having to rely on someone else to modify our site.  Changes are simple, efficient and real time. In addition, they assisted in integrating our blog seamlessly into our site. Van Gogh said, “How difficult it is to be simple.”  liveBooks has met the challenge well.  Go for it!

361 Architecture + Design Collaborative assembles teams of industry professionals that create projects that are well designed, super energy efficient and ecologically sound. They are committed to a world where architecture is accessible and alive, fostering well-being for all people, our communities and the planet. Visit their website and see how they successfully integrated several multi media elements into their interactive homepage.

We moved from hosting our own site to liveBooks about 6 years ago and have never looked back. liveBooks has stayed at the cutting edge of portfolio sites over the years which has allowed me to stay focused on my business, creating imagery. It seems every time I log in to update my site, the folks at liveBooks have added new functionality. As they have grown, liveBooks has also been able to maintain solid customer support. For me, the last piece to the puzzle was Scaler. We had been asking for larger images for the past year or so and liveBooks responded with Scaler! Now, my images automatically scale to the user’s screen which gives my work amazing impact. This is essential in the photography industry as in any visually driven business. I continue to be impressed with liveBooks and plan on using them well into the future.

Website: www.roberttardio.com
Robert Tardio’s still life work is clean and razor-sharp; like you could reach into the screen and touch it. What photographer doesn’t love to see that? Robert is also represented by one of our favorite photo reps, Janice Moses, who was one of liveBooks’ earliest clients.

I have been working with liveBooks since 2008 and have always been very happy with not only the results of the website itself, but with the great customer service I have received. I recently upgraded to the new Scaler site, which I am very excited about. The whole process was extremely smooth. I always received quick responses to my questions and or changes that needed to be made. When it was time to go live, my site was up within an hour! The liveBooks editSuite allows me to quickly and easily update the site, or make changes to its functionality. There’s no need to call or email anyone, and of course no charges to change the content.

All photographers will appreciate the potential of the new Scaler sites. Seeing your images as large as the screen is really something special! liveBooks is not just a container for pretty pictures, there’s a lot of work going on in the background. Since switching to liveBooks my SEO is greatly improved, and they make it easy with a simple page to fill out. I’ll be enjoying my new site and whatever else liveBooks comes up with in the future!

Jeffrey Totaro has had a life long interest in design and construction. Before becoming a photographer, he worked as an architect and structural engineer for a prominent Philadelphia firm. I think you’ll agree that Jeffrey’s education and experience as an architect and an engineer make him well suited to photograph the built environment.

A website is one of a photographers the most important tools. My website is the face of my company. I trust liveBooks to handle and present my images, not only because they are the industry standard of online visuals but also because the tech support is fast, kind and most importantly, patient.
Jim_Jordan_liveBooks_website
Website: www.jimjordanphotography.com
Jim lives and works bi-coastal in New York and Los Angeles, but the majority of his time is spent in exotic locations around the globe. He shoots pictures for advertising campaigns, fashion editorials and celebrities. Growing up as a skater and surfer in sunny, Southern California, Jim spent his high school days scouting models and finding the next great faces of the coming generation. With a passion for beauty and styling, Jim quickly became a highly respected hair and makeup artist, traveling the world and working with the biggest actors, actresses and supermodels of the time, such as Cindy Crawford, Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, and Farrah Fawcett. He worked with the world’s best photographers, such as Herb Ritts, Peter Lindbergh, Steve Meisel, and Patrick Demarchelier, to name a few, and after many years of behind the scenes experience as a hair and makeup artist, Jim picked up a camera and immediately developed his own unique style as a photographer. Jim now shoots celebrities such as Leonardo Dicaprio, Drew Barrymore, Charlize Theron, and Marisa Miller. Jim’s clients include Vogue, Vanity Fair, Elle, and Marie Claire. He also directs and shoots seamless campaigns for clients such as Mercedes Benz, J Crew, American Express, and Warner Brothers.

As commercial photographer I have always felt that the most important purpose of a website is to be able present my images in front of potential clients in the biggest, simplest and fastest way possible. I have been a liveBooks customer for a long time. They had almost everything I wanted and needed in my website. Now with Scaler liveBooks has it all!

Having a custom designed website allows me stand out. Being able to incorporate my brand makes it possible to create a consistent look and feel throughout all of my promotional pieces. Given that liveBooks is pretty much the standard for professional photographers, being unique is even more important. An advantage to working with the industry standard is that most clients are familiar with their navigation system. You do not want your viewers to take a lot of time figuring out how to view your work, because they won’t.

The editSuite is an invaluable tool because it allows me to make quick additions, changes to the sequence or layout of my portfolios and keep my online work organized. I use the FTP and client access features everyday in my workflow. I have not found a quicker, easier way to make custom pdf presentations for potential clients than in my editSuite.

I would not have a business if I did not have a liveBooks website. Having a beautifully designed, highly functional website is essential in todays market. liveBooks continually improves their offering and I am looking forward to see what they come out with next!

He moved to California to formally study photography at Brooks where he was able to shoot in the sun all year long.
