I decided to go with a liveBooks custom designed website after doing a lot of research. Most importantly, I needed a site I could update myself. I wanted a design to represent my work in a way that is clear and modern, yet traditional. My liveBooks designer listened to my input and considered what I wanted very carefully. I was amazed! My new site was up and running in no time. While the recession hit the wedding industry particularly hard my website has helped me exceed my projections for the year. The feedback I receive from clients and photographers about my site is universally positive – it’s the perfect marriage of photography and design. I highly recommend liveBooks as a complete solution that will give you a huge competitive advantage. Scaler has taken my website and brand to a whole new level. The impact is instant and gorgeous. It was an investment in my business that I’m glad I made!
Karen has a background in fine art photography. Working with both film and digital, she brings the art of of fine art photography to portraiture and events such as weddings. Watch Karen speak about her craft in this video.
Thanks Rich! I went with a custom site and upgraded to the new Scaler site this past summer and relaunched it in September. Ryan, the designer I worked with, made both sites. The upgraded design is similar but the new site is much more dynamic with many more portfolios. For a wedding site, I think choosing a softer color palate and of course the work, will help create the look you’re looking for.
Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate the feedback. Best of luck with your new site!

Karen,
I will be calling you but in case you get this first, I have now gone with Livebooks and overall am happy but I did want to ask you, when you go to my site and the home screen photo comes up there is a distinct white “Flash”, and when you go to the next photo during each transition between photos there is also this “Flash”
I went to your site and I see this also.
Now I don’t know if it’s not happening on your browser but it seems to be happening on all 3 of my computers.
I would like to know if you see this and if so have you ever talked to support? I talked to support and they couldn’t help me.
Note, this is a small issue but the more i see it the more it bothers me.
