Success Stories- Creative Professional

I was attracted to the liveBooks platform for my website because of its dynamic, clean and highly visual format. As an interior designer, visual impact was most important to me in deciding which web platform to use for my new website; as a small business owner affordability and ease of use was also critical. liveBooks met all of those priorities. We update our website often as new products and jobs need to be featured. liveBooks’ “lightbox” makes it incredibly easy to change, update and create new content for our website. We are very happy with the result and appreciate working with liveBooks as a partner so that we can continue using our website to grow our business.

Having an amazing website is crucial to starting a new business. Since the inception of my new product line everyone has asked me one simple question: “What is your story?” Your website is your PLATFORM! It is a place for you to answer questions about your business. Who are you, what do you look like, where are you from, what inspired your product, where can you buy it, how much is it, and what is your INTENTION?

I chose liveBooks for several reasons. I was able to create the website quickly and it was very cost effective for a starting a new business. I have a lot of creative control as well as control over managing the content efficiently. Communicating my intention was easy and there is potential to grow the website quickly. I love being able to integrate the site with social media (facebook, twitter, etc….) AND… liveBooks has an awesome support team!!!

Doug Baird: Contemplative drawing

Posted by liveBooks

It is important to me that my website is able to display large, detailed images of my digitally compiled artwork, and with the liveBooks Scaler website, I feel comfortable that visitors will be seeing a closer approximation to the finished art. The lightbox and other website editing tools are a joy, and using a pre-existing liveBooks template allowed me to spend the time and money on my art, instead of website development.

Doug was born in Brooklyn, New York and received a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design. After spending 10 years in the magazine and ceramic screen printing industry, he was hired by a marketing company and worked in both corporate finance and product development. In 2007, he moved to Lansing, NY and began combining drawing, painting, photography, and computer processing to produce layered images, which have been shown locally in many galleries and juried exhibits. Last year Doug received fiscal sponsorship from the New York Foundation for the Arts for the Idea Enhancement Project, which explores the use of visual imagery to promote creative thought. 2011 marks the beginning of a period of more intuitive and dream driven artwork – building on the analytical pieces of the last several years.

liveBooks is a trusted website partner. Their websites are beautiful and high functioning which beautifully presents my work. I recently upgraded to Scaler, and now I can display larger images. I love that potential clients can view my portfolio anywhere – even on their smart phones and iPads. The entire liveBooks support team is a pleasure to work with; professional, focused, responsive, and timely. It’s great to share such large, clear images with consumers and tastemakers around the world.

liveBooks made it easy for us to manage our website’s content and look without a lot of bother. The template site was a great foundation for us and it was surprisingly easy and affordable to customize. liveBooks is an essential tool for any company whose visual collateral requires a compelling and easy to manage web presence.
